Guinness Crowns New Tallest Man In U.S. (Photo)
Guinness World Records has recognized a man from Minnesota as the tallest man in the United States. The Guinness World Record Association has officially measured Igor Vokovinskiy at 7 feet, 8.3 inches tall edged out Norfolk Virginia sheriff’s deputy George Bell by a third of an inch. Vokovinskiy is 27 years old and originally from Ukraine. He came to the Mayo Clinic when he was seven years ago for treatment of a pituitary disease that triggered his growth and then stayed in Rochester Minnesota. As big as he is though he’s still five inches shorter than the WORLD’S tallest man, 8-foot-one-inch Sultan Kosen of Turkey.
