CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) _ The arched roof of Memorial Coliseum in Corpus Christi is no more.
The roof collapsed late Monday as part of the demolition process of the venue that opened in 1954 as the city’s main event center.
A&R Demolition project manager Vernon Carr says the collapse went great. Demolition began in early May.
Memorial Coliseum, with about 5,000 seats, was replaced in 2004 by the larger American Bank Center.
