Constable Accused Of Hitting Teen In Head With Baton
The investigation continues into a deputy constable accused of beating a teenage boy in the head with his baton.
Deputy Lupe Frias is being accused of hitting a teen in the head with the club outside a bar in Deep Ellum following an argument. The teen initially said the officer hit him on the arm and then changed the story to being hit on his head.
Dallas constable Jaime Cortez runs the precinct Frias was assigned to. He says all officers that trained to use the baton know never to strike anyone in the head. No arrests have been made but Frias could face aggravated assault charges pending an investigation.
