A week-long crime wave has been stopped by the arrest of two men in Fort Worth late Tuesday night.  The two are linked to a woman’s murder in Johnson County along with a string of robberies, shootings, a pistol-whipping and at least one car-jacking that began in Fort Worth a week ago today.  Robbery and homicide detectives compared notes from more than a half-dozen cases between June 24th and the 29th.  They began researching several apparent links and then late Tuesday it all began to come together when police spotted a Dodge Stratus that had been car-jacked five days earlier.  They chased the car and arrested the driver along with another man driving an SUV that was following the Stratus.  The pair have been extensively questioned about the murder of a 61-year-old woman who was found shot to death in her Godley home.
