The Baltimore Orioles have the worst record in baseball, but that didn’t stop them from putting a hurting on the Rangers today, not only winning 4-1 but sweeping a 4 game series.

The Orioles (29-59) hadn’t won any of their 14 road series this season before getting to Texas. But now they have their first four-game road sweep since 1995.

The Rangers led 1-0 after All-Star second baseman Ian Kinsler hit a two-out homer in the first. Baltimore responded with three doubles in the second, when Adam Jones had a leadoff double and scored on Julio Lugo’s two-bagger before Patterson’s hit.

The Rangers were helped out by an Angles loss, keeping their lead in the American League West at 4.5 games.
