A rookie officer is accidentally shot during a search of an abandoned house.

Veteran Officer Christopher Thomas and rookie Officer Ricardo Solis were looking for a robbery suspect in West Dallas Friday morning.
Police say Thomas fired his gun and hit Solis in the chest.
Solis, who has only been on the force three days, was wearing a bulletproof vest at the time.  He was taken to Parkland Hospital in Dallas, where he was treated and released.
The robbery suspect is still on the loose.
