Plane Suspected Of Carrying Drugs Found Abandoned

A single engine plane suspected of carrying drugs has been found abandoned in a  cotton field next to the airport in Caddo Mills.
Airport Manager Phil Eaton says that federal agents tried to head off the plane at the Greenville airport, but after landing, the pilot realized he was cornered and took off again nearly injuring a federal agent. Eaton says the suspects then tried to dump the evidence in the air between Greenville and Caddo.  Canines have confirmed drugs on the plane. Police and federal government officials are still investigating.
