Docs Worry about Health Care Law
Texas doctors aren’t impressed with national health care reforms. Texas doctors aren’t sure the new health care reform law will actually help patients and many think it will hurt their practices. “Almost half of the physicians we surveyed say the more they learn about the new law the less they like it.” Texas Medical Association President Dr. Susan Bailey from Ft. Worth says most doctors say the law needs changing and they worry that there won’t be enough doctors to go around when the Medicaid rolls are expanded. She says the Association’s job now will be to education doctors on exactly what the law will mean to their practices and patient care.
