Governor Perry says he would be happy to meet with the President to talk about border security at any time.  President Obama will be in Texas next month and Governor Perry says he would be happy to talk border security with him at that time, or even to talk to him on his home turf of Washington DC about that issue.  He’s hoping that by the time Texas lawmakers get to town in January the issue of border security will have been addressed in DC.  “That will put the needed resources on the border to that Texans will not have to continue to pay for what is clearly a federal responsibility.”  He says if not he feels that money for border security will be a top priority of state lawmakers next session.  “I full well expect the Texas legislature to prioritize what is important.  I suspect that border security will continue to be a priority with Texans.”
