Bankruptcy Court Hears From Rangers Manager
A federal bankruptcy court in Fort Worth hears from the Rangers’ manager. Ron Washington was in court very briefly this morning. The judge wanted to assure Washington the court was doing all it could to keep from disrupting the teams on-field performance. Club president Nolan Ryan is still hoping the auction date for the team will not be delayed. Team creditors are pushing for a later date to allow other bidders to line up financing. Major League Baseball has now cleared Mavericks owner Mark Cuban as a bidder.
