DART Trains Slowed by Lightning Strike
Some DART rail riders were late getting home last night because of rush hour storms. Lightning struck a DART building near Fair Park a little past 6 p.m. Tuesday. That knocked out the power to a DART rail dispatch center, creating back-ups across the DART system. DART’s Mark Ball says train operators were asked to run their routes manual even afterr power was restored. He says the train never came to halt but they did run slower for awhile until repairs were made.
