Texas Company Thriving Making Doomsday Shelters
One north Texas company strains to keep up with the demand for doomsday shelters. Radius Engineering in Terrell manufactures underground shelters that can cost millions. Company president Walton McCarthy says the typical shelter can hold as many as 400 people. Many of the shelters are designed to protect people for a year or more. He says the threat of an attack from Iran and President Obama’s opposition to the missile defense system is driving a spike in his business.
