Two north Texas mayors put in their pitch on who should own the Texas Rangers. With the Rangers ballpark as a backdrop the mayors of Arlington and Fort Worth tell reporters they’re behind the bid by Rangers’ president Nolan Ryan and Chuck Greenburg to buy the bankrupt team. Arlington Mayor Robert Cluck says the team has been successful under Ryan’s leadership. He and Fort Worth’s Mike Moncrief pledge to support whoever buys the team, but their preference is Nolan Ryan. An auction Wednesday should determine who gets the team.
