Shannon Marketic spent Monday night in jail after being accused of stealing $87 dollars worth of beauty products and baby items from a Target on Loop 388. Marketic, who won the Miss USA crown in 19-92, was released after posting a $500 bond.
Denton Police Department Captain Lenn Carter says “this was a run-of-the-mill shoplifter. She was seen by the loss prevention worker, they called us, there was no resisting.”
Marketic is accused of taking a jar of Olay Professional ProX Skin treatment. Ironically, she appeared on a Houston news program recently to talk about the benefits of the Nu Skin regimen.
