Missouri transportation officials say two people are dead and dozens injured in a Missouri freeway crash involving two school buses and a tractor-trailer near St. Louis.
Missouri Department of Transportation spokesman Jorma Duran could not immediately say whether the dead in the Interstate 44 crash near Gray Summit, 302 miles west of St. Louis, were riders on the school buses.
Broadcast reports say as many as 50 people were injured and that victims were being taken to various hospitals.
The buses were carrying eighth-grade St. James band students to the Six Flags amusement park roughly 10 miles from the crash scene.
