Owner Of Gloria's Sues Over Bean Dip

The famous black bean dip served at Gloria’s restaurants in North Texas is at the center of a lawsuit filed against the owner of a new restaurant in Dallas.  Gloria Rubio and Jose Fuentes claim that their famous dip and the recipe for their margarita’s were swiped by a former manager.  After leaving Gloria’s last year, Mario Alfaro and a partner opened up their own restaurant.  That’s when Rubio and Fuentes claim he began serving identical items.  A pre-trial hearing will be held Monday to determine whether the case can move forward.  An attorney for Alfaro calls the lawsuit ridiculous.

The more the merrier. Gloria’s should be flattered that someone, including the public loves their bean dip and mix so much that they wanna spread it around. What, does someone think they have a market on Beans, onions, tomatoes, salt, seasonings etc. ? Come on. Get a life, there’s plenty for everyone.

Frivolous lawsuit from a woman that owns 12 restaurants. Mario saved his money for 20+ years to achieve his American dream of owning his own restaurant to support his wife and children. Serving bean dip at a Salvadorian restaurant is like serving salsa at a Mexican restaurant. Get a life Gloria. You’re going to lose more than this case. You’ve lost my business.

Another reason why Gloria’s is a pathetic restaurant. Pathetic customer service by the owner himself, Jose Fuentes.

Here’s a tip, Jose. When you have a customer that is dissatisfied with their experience due to food poisoning (ready with records from my insurance company) you don’t act like a sleezball. In case you forgot, customers are what keep a business open and running. Without them YOU HAVE NOTHING.

If you haven’t already lost your pathetic lawsuit, I hope you do. What goes around comes around.
