Dallas Officer Hurt In Presidential Motorcade

Dallas police were quite spooked to see a colleague tumble from his motorcycle while escorting President Obama’s motorcade yesterday.
The officer was turning onWycliff from the Dallas North Tollway exit. Police Chief David Brown was immediately notified and he went to Parkland to check on his man.  Cheif Brown says they need to investigate more on the crash to find out what happened.
The incident was similar to the one in early 2008 when a Dallas motorcycle cop crashed while escorting Hillary Clinton who was then a presidential candidate. In that instance, Senior Cpl. Victor Lozada died. Fortunately, Senior Corporal Michael Manis suffered mostly scrapes and bruises yesterday and is considered in good condition.
