It’s that time of year again when school supplies show up in stores and football teams take to the field.
Today is the first day of football practice for 4a and 5a high school football teams. And although it marks the end of summer, players will be braving the hot weather with triple digit temperatures expected all week.  However they don’t have to play in helmets and pads until Friday when full contact begins. Marching bands began tackling the heat when their practice began last week.
