Texas is the next stop for singing tryouts for the Fox TV talent show “American Idol.”
The destination Wednesday is Austin.
Other 2010 audition sites are: Nashville, Tenn.; Milwaukee; New Orleans; East Rutherford, N.J.; and San Francisco.
The previous Texas stop for American Idol auditions was Cowboys Stadium in Arlington in June 2009, when thousands of hopefuls lined up for their chance to sing.
The first American Idol winner was Kelly Clarkson, from nearby Burleson, in 2002.
