A driver is in the hospital because of a rear-end crash involving a Dallas police car this morning. A little after 2 a.m. the man’s Jeep was stopped right in the middle of South Polk, a few blocks south of Camp Wisdom Road. The Dallas squad car, with two officers inside, was on its way to a call when it slammed into the back of the SUV whose driver was taken to Methodist Central Hospital in Dallas. His condition has not been available. The officers were not seriously hurt and have been giving information to investigators. There are still a lot of questions here, including why the Jeep was stopped in the middle of the street, whether or not it had any lights on and why the police car was not able to avoid the collision.
