KRLD’s Chief Investigative Reporter, LP Phillips, spent nearly all of Wednesday finding out as much as possible about the man who tried to lure McKinney police officers to their deaths. 

LP spoke with me tonight about his conversations with the housemate of the dead man and his family.

Also, former Travis County Sheriff Margo Frasier weighs in on how cops deal with this kind of thing.  We also get into a spirited discussion of what kinds of, if any, extra restrictions should be placed on gun ownership.  There are good arguments on all sides.
