Dallas Allocating Money For Rec Centers
Dallas City Manager Mary Suhm is allocating an extra $1.8 million dollars for the city’s rec centers. The funding comes from renegotiated contracts with haulers who use the city’s landfill. The extra money will allow the rec centers to stay open roughly 15-hours a week longer. Park and Recreation Director Paul Dyer plans to focus on evening and weekend programs, many of which were cut due to budget constraints.
