It’s more common that you think..workers putting in valuable time, but the check doesn’t come.Last year the Texas Workforce Commission recieved about 14 thousand claims…and collected over 4 million dollars in back pay. Ann Hatchit with the TWC says reasons for not paying runs the gammit…from cash flow problems to companies closing down. Appeals and bankruptcy court could delay the process, but Hatchitt says it takes an average of 66 days to get your money if the claim is valid.
