Firefighters made a grim find after putting out an SUV fire on a rural stretch of road in far southeastern Dallas County. About 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, a resident along Haymarket Road in Rylie, about a mile south of I-20, heard his dog making a commotion. When he stepped outside, he saw flames and called 911. When firefighters arrived, they found an SUV fire raging but they had it out in short order. But when they checked in the back seat, they found barely-recognizable form of a badly burned person. The burns were so bad they couldn’t even tell if it was a man or a woman. The medical examiner will have to determine whether or not the person was dead before the fire started.
