Hours before the first game, Carroll  high school quarterback has been declared ineligible to play.

After several hours behind closed doors Friday morning, a UIL committee voted to keep Daxx Garman from playing in Texas.  It’s possible for the family to appeal the decision, but in the meantime, he can not play football.   The committee made the decision because there are questions about when his parents moved to Southlake.  This comes as the team is scheduled to play its first game tonight, at Copperas Cove.  Randy Swoyer, Vice President of the Booster Club says he is shocked by the decision.
