The Democratic Nominee for Texas Governor, Bill White, talked with me about his proposal for term limits. His opponent, Governor Perry, is the longest serving governor in state history and White believes the length of Perry’s service creates an environment for cronyism and corruption.
We also talked about the governor’s continued refusal to debate.
I think most people probably aren’t paying much attention yet to the race, but talk radio listeners certainly care and would like to hear what both men have to say about the issues. After Labor Day, we’ll see much more pressure on the governor to debate his opponent, and I think he’ll eventually give in. But, who knows?
