An Arlington toddler is in the hospital after what police are calling a near drowning. It happened Thursday afternoon in the 4900 block of Stage Line Drive near Southwest Green Oaks Blvd. A police spokeswoman says the family’s air conditioning unit was out and the back door was open to allow air to circulate. At some point the 18-month-old girl managed to get out of the house and fell into the pool in the backyard. The parents found the girl, pulled her out and a neighbor performed CPR on the child until paramedics arrived. The toddler was taken to MCA and then Cook Children’s. She was revived during the transport.
