Nevada school trustees are now back home going over information they received in Dallas on Monday.  They were in town asking questions about School Superintendent Michael Hinojosa who is being considered for the top job in Nevada’s Clark County School District which includes Las Vegas.  The Clark County trustees spoke with current and former Dallas trustees and also with members of the community.  There’s no indication they met with teachers or any teachers organization, though.  Dallas teachers have been some of Hinojosa’s most vocal critics, but he also has enthusiastic backers who are leaning on him to stay in Dallas.  On a five-to-four vote, the school board agreed to offer a three-year contract extension.  The Clark County School Board is expected to choose between Hinojosa and one other finalist as early as Wednesday.
