One home intruder is locked up and a second is in the hospital after breaking into the Garland home of an off-duty Dallas police officer.  The officer called 911 to say there were three men going door-to-door in his neighborhood, apparently looking for a home to burglarize.  While Garland police were on the way, though, the men came in through the officer’s back door.  He shot one of them, who turned up later at a Dallas hospital, where doctors called police to report the suspicious gunshot wound.  Garland police later arrested one of the other burglars, but are still looking for the third.
