The Attorney General looks for help in investigating foreclosure proceedings in Texas.

Not only has the Attorney General asked 30 mortgage loan servicers to stop foreclosure proceedings he’s also asking people that are being foreclosed upon to look over their paperwork very carefully and to share that paperwork. “Please feel free to forward it on to our office.”

The Attorney General is investigating whether those papers were prepared legally or not and if those papers are accurate.

His request to stop foreclosures until October 15^th doesn’t carry with it the force of law but he believes most of these companies will comply.
