TxDot is putting up barricades and shutting down one of the most heavily-traveled HOV lanes in North Texas. It’s the stretch of highway along LBJ through northeast Dallas heading into Garland and Mesquite.  The HOV lane will be closed through the end of this month so that crews can build a pedestrian bridge connecting DART’s new LBJ-Skillman light rail station with the west side of the freeway.  Crews will be working around the clock to complete the project by the end of October.
