Local Soldier Killed in Afghanistan

cody21 Local Soldier Killed in Afghanistan A McKinney couple are living every mom and dad’s nightmare. The parents of a young soldier are in Delaware at Dover Air Force Base to meet the plane bringing their son’s body back from Afghanistan.  Private First Class Cody Board was killed by a roadside bomb on Monday.  Board grew up in McKinney and attended McKinney North High School. The football team will wear Cody’s initials on their helmets during Friday night’s football game.  Also on Friday night, a candlelight vigil is scheduled across the street from the Board family’s home in McKinney.  Board was just a week short of his 20th birthday when he was killed.

How sad. I just saw pictures of him on the Internet where he was disarming the IEDs.
