New Food Pantry Opens In North Texas
Poverty is creeping into the suburbs and with it, services for those who are suddenly having trouble paying for basic necessities like food. A new food pantry has opened on the west side of Plano, about a mile from a Mercedes dealership, and Reverend Janet Collinsworth from St. Andrew Methodist Church says it is very hard for folks who have never had to ask anyone for help before to reach out to them. She says their clinics have served more than 14,000 people since they opened.
