A bicyclist was taken to a Dallas hospital after being struck by a car at a Katy Trail crossing Monday. The woman’s injuries were described as minor, and Dallas police say the investigation has been turned over to the traffic unit. Police determined the woman was riding near the northern end of the Katy Trail when she was hit by a car while crossing near the Cole and Harvard Street intersection, just blocks away from Central Expressway. It is not clear who had the right-of-way.  There are stop signs for Katy Trail users at that crossing, but not for vehicles on Cole or Harvard. There are, however, bicycle crossing signs with flashing yellow lights to warn drivers on Harvard. Earlier this month, a Katy Trail jogger was killed when she was struck by a bicycle.
