DALLAS (AP) – Sarah Palin is heading for Texas.

The 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee and ex-Alaska governor had an appearance scheduled Wednesday night in Dallas at an event to benefit Heroic Media.

The faith-based nonprofit group, according to its website, seeks to reduce abortion and connect women in crisis with life-affirming resource centers.

GOP Gov. Rick Perry, who won re-election Nov. 2 and is on a tour promoting his new book, also was scheduled to attend Wednesday night’s event. Perry’s book is called: “Fed Up!: Our Fight to Save America from Washington.
