Buisness Booming In Arlington Thanks To Big Events
ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) – Despite a down economy, Arlington is making money.
The City of Arlington is reporting record sales tax revenues for 2010. The city has raised more than $46 Million, up $1.6 Million from 2009.
Mayor Robert Cluck tells KRLD the city went above projected income on sales tax, thanks in large part to Cowboys Stadium, Rangers Ballpark, and some of the new entertainment centers in town.
Cluck says they expect next year’s numbers to be even better, thanks to the city hosting both the World Series and the Super Bowl.
