Rider Beats TCU 76-61
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) – Justin Robinson scored 18 points, leading Rider to a 76-61 win over TCU on Saturday in the Hall of Fame Tip-Off tournament.
Rider (3-1) trailed 34-28 at the half, but made its first 11 shots and 16 of its first 17 of the second half to outscore the Horned Frogs 38-17 and take a 66-51 lead.
The Broncos made 18 of 25 shots in the second half and were 28 of 49 for the game. Novar Gadson had 15 points for Rider, and Mike Ringgold had 12 off the bench. The Broncos’ bench outscored TCU’s 30-18.
Ronnie Moss scored 15 points to lead TCU (2-1), while Garlon Green added 13 and Amric Fields had 12.
TCU forced 10 turnovers and outrebounded Rider 19-15 in the first half. In the second half, Robinson took control early, scoring 12 points in the first 12 minutes.
The Broncos finished with a 35-32 rebounding advantage, led by Ringgold and Jhamar Youngblood with eight each.
