IRVING (105.3 THE FAN) – “He’s going to need to practice.  You want to see something from your players.”    And with that Jason Garrett updated the playing status of Marion Barber today before the afternoon scheduled workout.  He has today and tomorrow to get some work in or we will see Tashard Choice in the backfield on Sunday against the Colts.

Garrett didn’t seem too worried about the playing status of Keith Brooking and Bradie James who have missed some time this week.  That means expect them to be back on the field this afternoon or tomorrow and probably ready to go.

There are new clocks in the Cowboys locker room and they are of the new age digital variety, not the “old school-house clocks” as Garrett described them today.  Seems the out dated clocks were not running too well and Garrett wanted to make the change to make sure players get to meetings on time, with no excuses.

Vanilla Flavor of the Day Media Topic:  Kevin Ogletree.  The wide receiver who caught the attention of coaches and fans a year ago after catching a couple of hitch screens is locked behind the three “starting” receivers.  The Cowboys still like him but not enough to warrant any playing time.

Cowboys rookies loaded up a truck to deliver toys for the Salvation Army today.  Dez Bryant was all smiles saying, “The excitement is about the same as football, being able to do that is very special.”  Bryant was genuinely moved about spreading the good will to needy families.  The smile on his face was, well, priceless.
