IRVING (105.3 The Fan) – Linebacker Keith Brooking is going to apparently try to give it a go Sunday against the Colts.

His sprained left foot “improved dramatically from yesterday to today,” Brooking said in the locker room as he showed us his size 14 shoes.  Brooking then made fun of himself saying that he will be dragging his left foot around in a reinforced shoe that will “make him slower than you guys already think I am.”

It appears it will be a game time decision. Don’t bet against him.  Brooking has played in 155 straight games and hasn’t missed any action since a 2000 foot injury…the same one, a sprained foot.

He says there is inflammation in the bone, but it is not nearly as severe as his injury ten years ago which almost sidelined his career for good (according to doctors who said he might not play again.)   Brooking then strapped on a protective boot which he says he will probably wear all weekend and to the stadium on Sunday.

Also, Marion Barber did not practice again today and it appears he will sit this one out, meaning Tashard Choice will get some reps at running back.  Barber is still nursing a strained calf.
