Greenberg Talks Lee, Offseason & Upgrades

By Gina Miller, TXA 21 Sports

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) – The question “What will Cliff Lee do?” is on everyone’s minds. We all wish we could say we knew, and so do the Texas Rangers.

CEO Chuck Greenberg was part of a contingency that included assistant general manager Thad Levine and co-chairman of the board Ray Davis who visited with Lee, his wife Kristen and agent on Thursday at Lee’s home in Arkansas.

Greenberg wouldn’t divulge much other than to say they presented Lee with a complex menu of options.  The impression might be the Rangers are not interested in matching the Yankees seven year offer.  Greenberg shed some inferred as much when Gina Miller interviewed him on Friday afternoon.

Cliff needs to do what is best for his family. His kids continue to grow and need his presence in their lives.
The most money is not always the right choice.
I pray for the Lord to give Cliff the wisdom to make the right choice for him and his family.
