Got Super Bowl Tickets? Don’t Forget Parking!

Jacksonville Jaguars v Dallas Cowboys

ARLINGTON (105.3 THE FAN) – Recession? Not for those headed to Arlington to see Green Bay and Pittsburgh battle on Super Sunday. But if you thought ticket prices for the game were high – you ain’t seen nothing yet!

Several parking lots around the stadium are taking advantage of their prime location by gouging those who have Super Bowl fever and cash to burn.

The highest priced spot on Sunday February 6th, according to the website ParkWhiz.com is $990.00. Yes, almost one thousand dollars to park your own vehicle. The golden spot is located at Ticketsource.com’s parking lot at 201 North Collins –  across the street, or approximately 1/10 of a mile from Cowboys Stadium. For that price you would think that Jerry Jones himself would give you a piggy back ride to your seat.

Other areas located on North Collins St, the main drag that runs next to Cowboys Stadium, range from $550 per spot at 936 North Collins, to the Budget Inn at 314 North Collins charging a mere $198 for a space between two stripes.

Even some local Arlington churches are getting in on the parking lot action. The First United Methodist Church on North Center Street is offering a free shuttle with the $110.00 parking space and The CenterPoint Church on South Collins, located almost 1 mile from the stadium, is renting spaces for $82.50 for the day.

But if you are not willing to fork over a “c-note” for a parking space, you can look over near the Six Flags amusement park and pay only $71.40 plus tax and “shipping”. But this includes free shuttle service to the stadium gates…but no tail-gating in this area. You have to go elsewhere for that – but  be ready to hand over a kidney, or your first born.
