ROCKWALL (CBSDFW.COM) – North Texans are itching to get out of the house after days of bitter cold, and a lot of business owners couldn’t be happier.

Outdoor businesses are expecting to make back some of the cash they have lost during the cold snap this coming week.  Buffalo Creek Golf Club General Manager Jeremy Coon says the forecast for the weekend and beyond has a lot of people excited in Rockwall.

“Just from the phone calls we’ve received for booking tee times, I’d guarantee you that at least 25 percent have been booking tee times for next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday just getting ahead of the game and taking advantage of the good weather it looks like we’re going to have all next week,” Coon said.

He says it’s been a particularly tough stretch for them.  They haven’t had a round of golf played on the course since the first day of February.
