ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) – The Texas Rangers Opening Day is set to kick-off tomorrow at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington but tickets are hard to come by, and if you do find some you’ll need to hand over some big money.
Because of the team’s success in last year’s post-season, Opening Day tickets are sky-rocketing on the secondary market. Some ticket-selling websites say the average price for tomorrow’s game is more than $200 for upper-deck seating with even standing-room-only tickets going for an average of $60 dollars or more.
By some estimates, the Rangers have the third highest prices in the MLB, behind only the Boston Red Sox home opener against the New York Yankees and the World Series Champion San Francisco Giants who will host the St. Louis Cardinals.
