DALLAS (CBS 11 NEWS) –  It’s a super busy week in the Metroplex with Fort Worth’s Mayfest going on all weekend and lots of great live entertainment – so let’s get started!

First up – our Dallas theater center’s newest production is pretty impressive!  It’s steamy, sexy and so much fun!  The Wyly Theater is totally transformed into a 30’s Berlin cabaret as dancers circle patrons and the emcee sings some of Broadway’s most popular Tony Award-winning tunes in the adult themed “Caberet.”   The musical continues at the Wyly through May 22.

Next up – the Black Academy of Arts and Letters presents “What My Husband Doesn’t Know” on the Naomi Bruton main stage.  It’s a show mom or grandmom would love for sure this Mother’s Day weekend!

Jerry Seinfeld brings his popular band of humor to the Winspear Opera House for three shows this weekend, on Friday and Saturday night.

The annual Patio Sessions sponsored by AT&T Performing Arts opens its season this Thursday night with free concerts in Sammons Park.  This week they are celebrating Cinco de Mayo. The best part?  It’s all free and a great outing for the whole family!

And lastly – the whole family can follow the yellow brick road as Casa Mañana brings the beloved Wizard of Oz Friday through Sunday. All will enjoy timeless classics like “Somewhere Over The Rainbow.”

There you have it — a full week of fun activities in the arts!  On a side note, Go Mavs!  And happy Mother’s Day to all the great North Texas moms!

See you next time… in the spotlight!
