By Sandie Newton, CBS 11 News

This week brings everything from Hollywood legend Debbie Reynolds to Dallas for a luncheon at The Ritz to the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader auditions and REO Seedwagon in concert – definitely a diverse week of entertainment!

Tickets are still available for the luncheon with Debbie – it’s an event any film fan would love.  Contact The Ritz Carlton Hotel in Dallas for more info.

The 2011 Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders squad will be chosen over the course of the next three Sundays with the open call at 8am at Cowboy Stadium Sunday 5/15.  Applicants must be 18 years of age and a high school graduate and be willing to show their best dance moves and personality to a field of 12 judges.  The entire process will be filmed once again for the popular CMT series “Making the Team”.  Semi finals will be 5/22 and girls selected for the finals (along with returning veterans) will compete 5/29.  Good luck to all!

Next week American Idol finalist Constantine comes to town in ROCK OF AGES.  The retro musical opens Tuesday night at the Winspear Opera House as part of our AT&T Performing Arts and “9-5″ based on the popular movie arrives at the Music Hall at Fair Park also next as part of Dallas Summer Musicals.  Next week we will talk to stars from both productions!

The NYC exhibit Art of the American Indian continues at the Dallas Museum of Art and next Thursday their popular Jazz Under the Stars will be performed Thursday night.

Cabaret continues it’s run at the Wyly Theater in the Arts District – a fun time as the theater is transformed into a 30’s Berlin nightclub!  You’re allowed to sit on the floor and be served beverages as part of the show!

Next week we will be LIVE on Friday to preview Richardson’s annual Wildflower Festival bringing the best in music and arts to North Texas.  All weekend long you can enjoy excellent entertainment with REO Speedwagon headlining the popular festival.

See you next week…in the spotlight!
