DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - What would you pay for a home owned by a Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl champ? Apparently one player is hoping your answer is – a whole lot!
Troy Aikman’s Highland Park home is on the market for a whopping $24 million.
The house is three stories, has five bedrooms and six baths. The property, which is only six years old, is currently the highest priced in Highland Park.
Dallas Real Estate blogger Candy Evans says the eight-figure asking price is actually good for what you get. “He’s got the 10,500 square foot Mediterranean mansion with the guest quarters that he built,” detailed Evans. “Then four years later he bought the lot next door and he added a 1,045 square foot cabaña and a basketball sport court.”
According to Evans, higher priced real estate properties are doing well in the housing market, since a majority of their potential owners can buy with cash. Middle priced homes are harder to sell due to tighter loan restrictions.
Aikman’s house also includes three fireplaces and a four-car garage.
