Son Of Dallas Bail Bond Company Owner Charged In Murder

DALLAS (AP) – A father and son have been accused of a killing at the family’s Dallas bail bond company in a dispute with a business partner.

James Beavers Jr. of Duncanville is the third person jailed Thursday on a capital murder charge over Monday’s fatal shooting of 53-year-old Mark Stephen Stockton at the company.

Dallas police earlier arrested 54-year-old James Beavers Sr. and the person allegedly hired to carry out the shooting, 44-year-old Shawn Lewis.

No attorney was listed for Beavers Jr., who was arrested Wednesday, with bond set at $1 million on the capital murder count. The 23-year-old son is also charged with evidence tampering, with bond set at $25,000.

Beavers Sr. and Lewis were booked on Tuesday.

What a surprise? Bail Bondsmen are tough cookies, around a tough crowd. It is no surprise, really.
Question now is…who is going to put up a bond for them?
    Not good to burn bridges!

What a WASTE of four lives!

Mark was a elementary / high school / church friend of mine. Who in their right mind (whether you believe Bail Bondsmen are tough cookies or not) thinks it’s okay to point a gun at another human being and pull the trigger, not once, but twice? What in the back of their minds said, “I’m going to get away with this?” I believe in God and His justice…they’ll pay!

I also believe in God’s final hand in justice. Only God knows the hearts of men when their emotions take the better of them and lead them down the wrong path. I am so sorry that you lost a friend over this. Life is so precious! The situation that led to the shooting solved nothing and only created 100x the misery.
Its like with a couple that so fear or hate divorce, that they elect to murder their spouse. They think not of the consequences…that divorce is less painful in the long run; but murder destroys all.
Lets keep Mark and his family in prayer at this time that they lean on God during this time for any courage, strength and forgiveness that they need in dealing with this selfish situation that truly didn’t need to happen.
