Five-Month-Old Killed In Fort Worth House Fire

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – A house fire broke out in the 2800 block of Sarah Jane Lane Saturday, killing a five-month-old girl who was trapped inside.

Fort Worth fire fighters arrived at the home just after 11 a.m., officials said. There were five adults and two children inside as the fire broke out, and each adult thought one of the others had the infant, a Fort Worth Fire Department spokesman said.

When fire fighters entered the home, they found the child dead in a bedroom. Police and fire fighters had to separate the adults, who started fighting with one another after the infant was found in the home.

The cause of death is under investigation.
