Dallas Murder Suspects Arrested Following Hours-Long Standoff
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Police arrested two murder suspects three hours after they barricaded themselves inside an apartment following the shooting death of a 28-year-old man in the parking lot, a spokesman said.
At about 2:45 a.m. Sunday, two men walked up to a parked car in an apartment parking lot in the 13300 block of Maham Road and pointed a gun at Jose Reyes Bosques, 28, ordering him out of the car. DPD spokesman Kevin Janse said Bosques “struggled with one of the suspects,” and got shot. He died at the scene.
Bosques’s girlfriend was also in the car, but was unharmed. The two suspects fled to an apartment in the complex, and a witness to the shooting followed and called police.
Janse said a SWAT team was called, and the two suspects and another woman inside exited the apartment “without incident.” The suspects were arrested and taken to jail, their names have not been released.
Janse added that investigators are still interviewing witnesses and suspects.
