DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Once again, more outbursts and name calling have peppered the Dallas County Commissioners Court.  This time an outgoing commissioner took exception with a new redistricting plan.

During Tuesday morning’s meeting Republican Maureen Dickey exploded when a map putting her district in a Democratic district was presented.  At one point Dickey yelled that she was ready to go to jail over the issue.   It was an amendment Dickey claimed blindsided her.

Dickey then accused the only other republican on the court, Mike Cantrell, of pulling a sham on his own party.  Cantrell says she was throwing him under the bus.

Judge Clay Jenkins told KRLD why he thinks Dickey was mad.

Commissioner John Wiley Price said he wasn’t sure why she was so worried, because she’s not seeking re-election.

It’s not uncommon for the court to break out into a shouting match.  So recently they enacted new decorum rules to prevent such an outburst.  Dickey’s outburst did violate the new ethics policy, but Jenkins did not throw her out.  He says he felt she wanted to be ejected to make her point.
